Ordering is easy and intuitive up to the point that you check out (simply click Buy Now to add a product to your shopping cart). You will then be presented with three choices –
- Quick Checkout (as a Guest)
- Register (Create an Account)
- Sign in
Quick Checkout allows a new purchaser to buy and pay for products without creating an account with us. Be aware, however, that it is not really a time saver, because you will still have to supply all the information needed for billing and shipping. With the “Register” option, that information is retained on your account, allowing you to to re-use it by just “Signing In” on subsequent visits.
Next, you will be asked to specify the shipping address (simply check the “Same as Billing” button if it is the same). You will then be taken to the Shipping/Carrier screen which will show you the estimated shipping charges. Remember that this is only an estimate, and will be adjusted up or down after we have used the carrier’s tariff – but be assured that we will not exceed it without contacting you. Note that, if your order includes one or more “freight heavy” items, you will be warned that extra shipping charges may apply. We will contact you if the shipping charges will exceed our estimate by more than 10%. Note that you can exercise the option to pick up the order if that is convenient (if you do, the shipping charges will be removed).
On the Shipping/Carrier screen you may record any special instructions or comments you have for us (e.g. “do not ship before date”, or “please call me before shipping”)
You will then be taken to the Payment screen with the following choices –
- “Have an account already”. Choose this if you know that you or your organization already has a credit account with Sports Equipment (e.g. you are a school or school board that has bought on a terms basis from us in the past).
- “Credit Card”. We accept Mastercard and Visa. Be assured that your credit card information is secure.
You are done! You will be taken to a screen that acknowledges your order and gives you the identifying “Web Order” number. At the bottom of the screen there is a button that allows you to view your order. We suggest that you print it, but you will, in any event, receive an email (to your login email account) confirming the order and giving you a link to review it.
You web order will be processed during or at the end of the day you place it. The following morning you may receive an email confirming that your order is “in process” with changes. The changes could be substitutions or options (we will contact you before proceeding with any options).
